Which list orders the standard turbulence intensity categories?
The categories are light, moderate, severe, and extreme.
- Light, moderate, severe, extreme ✔
- Cool, warm, hot, boiling
- Low, middle, high, space
Why: Turbulence reports use four intensity categories. They progress from light through moderate and severe to extreme.
Huh, didn't know that: The category describes effects on the aircraft and its occupants, not the cloud type.
Why did turbulence bring a report card? It wanted its intensity graded!
