Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no ad tracking, no cookies from us. Your game progress stays on your device.

The daily game
Your Knowledge Score, streak, learned cards and likes are saved in your own browser (local storage). They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data resets them.
To learn which cards people miss and which jokes land, the game sends anonymous events to our server: the card number and the kind of action (answered right or wrong and which choice, liked, shared, or which joke you voted for). These events carry no name, email, account or cookie. Your IP address is used for a minute to stop abuse and is never stored.
The Just Right Challenge and Ask SESK
The quiz records which question was asked, which answer was picked and whether it was right, so we can see what people don't know yet. Your best scores stay on your device.
Questions typed into Ask SESK, and topics you suggest, are saved without any name or contact details so we know what to explain next. Before saving, we automatically remove anything that looks like an email address, phone number, web link or long number. Please don't type personal information.
Analytics we use
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: counts page views and page speed. It uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.
- Umami, which we host ourselves (analytics.keylinkit.net): counts visits, pages and referrers. It uses no cookies and stores no personal data.
Things other companies load
- YouTube: video pages show a thumbnail first. The video loads from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) only when you tap play.
- Google Fonts: the game loads its fonts from Google.
- Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks.
Kids
SESK is family friendly. There are no accounts or comments, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
