Two powerboats are meeting head-on. What should each one do?

Both turn to starboard and pass port to port.

  1. Both turn to port
  2. The smaller boat stops
  3. Both turn to starboard ✔

Why: Inland Rule 14 says when two power-driven vessels meet head-on, each alters course to starboard (right) so they pass port side to port side.

Huh, didn't know that: Rule 14 says if you're unsure whether it's a head-on situation, assume it is.
