When towing a water skier or tuber, what does NASBLA say you should always have?

A way to watch the rider, plus a seat for them.

  1. A way to watch the person being towed ✔
  2. A second towrope as backup
  3. A loud air horn

Why: The driver has to look ahead, so someone must watch the rider behind. NASBLA also says to keep a seat open for the person being towed. Some states require an observer of a minimum age, so check local laws.

Huh, didn't know that: On a PWC, towing means you need seating space for three: the driver, the observer and the rider.

The dad joke
Why are water skiers such loyal friends? They always hang on.
