SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/cdl-compressed-gas-cylinders
With no cylinder racks, how must compressed gas cylinders ride?
Upright on a flat floor.
- Leaning against the side wall
- Loose so they can roll
- Held upright on a flat floor ✔
Why: If the truck has no racks, the cargo floor must be flat and the cylinders held upright, or kept in boxes that stop them from turning over.
Huh, didn't know that: Cylinders may lie down only if they are designed so the relief valve is in the vapor space.
Why are gas cylinders so polite? They always stand up straight.
