Some states have more representatives than other states. Why?

Because of the state's population.

  1. Because of land area
  2. Because they became states first
  3. Because of the state's population ✔

Why: House seats are divided by population, so states with more people get more representatives. Land size and age of statehood do not matter.

Huh, didn't know that: House seats are reassigned among the states after each census, which happens every 10 years.

The dad joke
Why did the crowded state get more seats? It had a lot of people to sit down.
