What can eliminate distorted voice transmissions caused by RF feeding back into the transmitter?

Why: Your own signal can travel back along the mic cable and garble your audio. A ferrite choke blocks that RF but lets your voice through.
Huh, didn't know that: Ferrite chokes are the little lumps you see near the ends of many computer and charger cables.
Why did the mic cable wear a ferrite choke? It was a fashion statement with a purpose.
