NVMe solid-state drives talk to the computer over which interface?
PCIe (PCI Express).
- PCI Express (PCIe) ✔
- SATA
- Parallel ATA (PATA)
Why: NVMe was designed from the ground up for fast flash storage over PCIe, with high bandwidth and low latency. SATA SSDs use the older SATA interface and PATA is far older still.
Huh, didn't know that: NVM Express calls NVMe the de facto industry standard for PCIe SSDs.
Have you heard of the new band called 1023 Megabytes? They're pretty good, but they don't have a gig just yet.
