SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/aplus-system-restore
What does System Restore do?
It reverts the PC's system state to an earlier restore point.
- Deletes all personal files and starts over
- Reverts system settings to a previous point in time ✔
- Backs up every file to the cloud
Why: System Restore uses restore points, which are snapshots of system configuration. It can undo a bad driver or software change without affecting your personal files.
Huh, didn't know that: Windows can create restore points automatically during big events like software installs or updates.
System Restore: because 'undo' should work on more than typing.
