SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/cdl-clp-one-year-limit
How long can a CLP be valid before you must retake the knowledge tests?
No more than one year from the date it was first issued.
- 6 months
- 2 years
- 1 year ✔
Why: A CLP may be valid for at most one year from its first issue date. States that issue shorter permits may renew them, but never past that one year without retesting.
Huh, didn't know that: The CLP must be a separate document from your regular license.
