SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/check-tread-monthly
How often should you check tire tread?
At least once a month, when you check pressure.
- Only after a flat
- At least once a month ✔
- Every five years
Why: NHTSA says check tread at least once a month while you check pressure. Worn tread slips more on wet or icy roads.
Huh, didn't know that: Replace tires at 2/32 inch, not when the cords show.
Why did the calendar look tired? It had too many dates.
