How can a penny tell you a tire is too worn?

If you see all of Lincoln's head, replace the tire.

  1. If the tread covers Lincoln's head
  2. If you see all of Lincoln's head ✔
  3. If the tread reaches the top of the coin

Why: NHTSA says put a penny in the tread with Lincoln's head upside down. If you can see the top of his head, tread is at or below 2/32 inch. Replace the tire.

Huh, didn't know that: Tires also have wear bars. When tread is even with those bars, it is time.

Why did the car apply for a job? It wanted to drive success.
