How long must Category 4 records of completed maintenance work be kept?
1 year after the work, or until repeated or superseded.
- 30 days
- 1 year, or until repeated or superseded ✔
- For the life of the pilot
Why: Category 4 drones need maintenance records with what was done, when and by whom. Those records stay for 1 year or until the work is repeated or superseded.
Huh, didn't know that: Records of life-limited parts, inspections and airworthiness directives must transfer with the drone when it is sold.
Why did the drone keep a diary? Its mechanic said to write down every little fix.
