How long is an FAA drone registration valid before it must be renewed?

Why: A Certificate of Aircraft Registration under Part 48 expires 3 years after it is issued unless renewed. That applies to Part 107 and recreational registrations.

Huh, didn't know that: If a drone's owner is under 13, someone at least 13 must register it.
