The working space in front of a panelboard must be clear to a height of at least what?
6 1/2 feet or the equipment height if greater.
- 5 feet
- 6 1/2 feet ✔
- 8 feet
Why: The 110.26 working space runs from the floor up to 6 1/2 feet or the height of the equipment, whichever is greater. Nothing like a ceiling duct should drop into it.
Huh, didn't know that: Indoors, the space above a panel up to 6 feet higher must stay free of pipes and ducts.
I asked an electrician to fix an electrical issue at my house. He refused.
