Which Section 608 certification covers small appliances, high-pressure and low-pressure equipment?
Universal certification covers Types I, II and III.
- Universal ✔
- Type II only
- Core only
Why: Type I covers small appliances, Type II covers medium, high and very high-pressure equipment, and Type III covers low-pressure equipment. A technician who works on all of them must be certified as Universal.
Huh, didn't know that: EPA has no separate R-410A certification. Section 608 certification goes by appliance type, not refrigerant.
Why did the thermostat go to school? Because it wanted to be set for success!
