SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/es-embajada
You lost your passport. How do you ask 'Where is the U.S. Embassy?'
¿Dónde está la Embajada de Estados Unidos?
- ¿Dónde está el aeropuerto?
- ¿Dónde está el hotel?
- ¿Dónde está la Embajada de Estados Unidos? ✔
Why: Embajada means embassy. Older courses say Embajada Americana, but americano can mean anyone from the Americas, so name the country. Your embassy or consulate helps with lost passports.
Huh, didn't know that: FSI's text also has 'sección consular' for the consular section.
Why did the passport go to the embassy? It was feeling a little stamped out.
