How many times do you wrap the tag end when tying a clinch knot?
Five or six wraps around the standing end.
- Once or twice
- Five or six times ✔
- Ten to twelve times
Why: The clinch knot is wrapped several times, not just once or twice, so it grips. Too few wraps can slip, and too many are hard to seat.
Huh, didn't know that: The clinch is taught on Take Me Fishing in just four easy steps.
