SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/founder-form-941-quarterly
Most employers report withheld income tax plus Social Security and Medicare on Form 941. How often is it filed?
Every quarter. The first quarter's return is due April 30.
- Every quarter ✔
- Once a year in April
- Every payday
Why: Form 941 is the Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return. The returns are due April 30, July 31, October 31 and January 31, one month after each quarter ends.
Huh, didn't know that: If all the quarter's taxes were deposited on time, you get until the 10th of the second month after the quarter.
Why did the quarter go to the bank alone? It didn't want to be a quarter of a group.
