In DMR digital radio, what is a talkgroup?
An ID that sorts traffic so you hear only your group.
- A net of hams who share a common interest
- An ID that sorts traffic so you hear only your group ✔
- An email group on an amateur radio topic
Why: DMR uses talkgroup IDs to organize traffic. You pick the talkgroup you want and are not bothered by other traffic on the system.
Huh, didn't know that: One DMR repeater can offer many talkgroups, from local chat to statewide groups.
Why did the shy ham love DMR talkgroups? Nobody outside the group could butt in.
