What is the resistance of a circuit for which the applied voltage is 12 volts and the current flow is 1.5 amperes?
8 ohms.
- 18 ohms
- 8 ohms ✔
- 13.5 ohms
Why: Use R = E divided by I. Twelve volts divided by 1.5 amperes equals 8 ohms.
Huh, didn't know that: An 8-ohm load at 12 volts uses 18 watts.
Why did 12 volts and 1.5 amps get along? They worked out an 8-ohm relationship.
