In which type of circuit is the current always the same through all components?

A series circuit, where there is only one path for current.

  1. Parallel
  2. Series ✔
  3. Resonant

Why: In a series circuit, parts are connected one after another, so the same current must pass through each one. In a parallel circuit, the voltage is the same instead.

Huh, didn't know that: Old-style Christmas light strings were wired in series, so one dead bulb made the whole string go dark.

The dad joke
Why did the series circuit love binge-watching? It always wanted to see what came next.
