Which of these is a resonant or tuned circuit?
An inductor and a capacitor, in series or in parallel.
- A linear voltage regulator
- An inductor and capacitor in series or parallel ✔
- A resistor circuit used to lower SWR
Why: Hook an inductor and a capacitor together, either in series or in parallel, and you get a tuned circuit. It responds strongly to one frequency more than others.
Huh, didn't know that: Tuned circuits are one way a receiver picks one station out of many.
Why was the tuned circuit so calm? It always found its own frequency.
