What does "100% tie-off" mean for tower safety?
At least one lanyard attached at all times.
- All loose ropes and guys secured
- All tools secured to the climber's harness
- At least one lanyard attached to the tower at all times ✔
Why: A climber is never free-hanging. Even while moving from one spot to another, one lanyard stays hooked to the tower.
Huh, didn't know that: While climbing, lanyards should be attached to the tower legs (E0A11).
You know you might be a ham when the snow starts and someone wants to throw an antenna party!
