In horse terms, what is a gelding?
A castrated (neutered) male horse.
- A neutered male horse ✔
- An adult female horse
- A horse under one year old
Why: A gelding is a male horse that has been neutered. A male that has not been neutered is a stallion, and an adult female is a mare.
Huh, didn't know that: USDA horse surveys group stallions together with colts as intact males.
