When is it okay to drink alcohol while handling firearms or bows?

Never, not before and not during.

Why: Alcohol and drugs slow reactions, blur judgment and make it easier to lose control of emotions. Hunter education lists them as a common cause of hunting incidents. The rule covers bows and arrows as well as guns.
