The shoulder carry is a poor choice when other hunters are where?

Why: In the shoulder carry the gun rests on your shoulder with your hand on the grip, so the muzzle points up and back. That works when walking beside or behind others. It is not safe if someone is behind you.

Huh, didn't know that: The shoulder carry does not need a sling; your hand on the grip controls the gun.
