Three hunters walk side by side. Where should the middle hunter point the muzzle?

To the front, or back and up. Never to the sides.

Why: Partners are on both sides of the middle hunter, so the sides are never safe. The hunters on the ends point their muzzles out to their own side or to the front. Carries may need to change as the group moves.

Huh, didn't know that: In single file, the lead hunter points the muzzle to the side or up, and the last hunter points it back or to the side.
