SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/osha-ppe-training-demonstrate
Before doing work that requires PPE, what must a trained worker show?
That they understand the training and can use the PPE properly.
- That they can show they understand and use PPE ✔
- That they bought their own gear
- That they passed a fitness test
Why: PPE training covers when and what PPE is needed, how to put it on, take it off and adjust it, its limits, and its care. Workers must demonstrate they understand before doing the work.
Huh, didn't know that: Workers must be retrained when the workplace or the PPE changes enough to make old training obsolete.
Why did the hammer go to training? It wanted to hit the nail on the head.
