SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/pilot-macho-attitude-antidote
What is the FAA's antidote for the macho hazardous attitude?
Taking chances is foolish.

- Not so fast. Think first.
- Taking chances is foolish. ✔
Why: The macho attitude says 'I can do it' and takes risks to impress others. The antidote is to remind yourself that taking chances is foolish. The FAA lists five hazardous attitudes, each with an antidote.
Huh, didn't know that: The antidote for invulnerability, the 'it won't happen to me' attitude, is 'It could happen to me.'
Why don't skeletons fight each other? They don't have the guts.
