Which two aircraft certificates does rule 91.203 require to be on board?
The airworthiness certificate and the registration certificate.
- Engine logbook and weight and balance
- Airworthiness and registration certificates ✔
- Pilot logbook and medical certificate
Why: Rule 91.203(a) requires a current airworthiness certificate and an effective US registration certificate inside the aircraft. The airworthiness certificate must be displayed where passengers or crew can read it.
Huh, didn't know that: A US aircraft registration certificate expires seven years after the last day of the month it was issued.
Why did the airplane carry its registration? It wanted to be recognized.
