SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/pt-banheiro-quarto
In Brazil, how do you say 'I want a room with a bathroom'?
Eu queria um quarto com banheiro.
- Eu queria um quarto com banheiro. ✔
- Eu queria um quarto sem banheiro.
- Eu queria um quarto com vista.
Why: Com means with and sem means without. Eu queria (I would like) sounds more polite than the FSI's eu quero. In Portugal, say casa de banho.
Huh, didn't know that: The same lesson asks whether you want a room sem banheiro.
Why can't you hear a pterodactyl go to the bathroom? Because the P is silent.
