SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/reptile-bearded-dragon-basking-temperature
What basking range does UC Davis give bearded dragons?
The basking spot should be 88 to 95 F.
- 60 to 65 F
- 88 to 95 F ✔
- 120 to 130 F
Why: UC Davis pairs an 88 to 95 F basking spot with an 80 to 85 F daytime tank. Measure both zones rather than relying on bulb wattage alone.
Huh, didn't know that: Place the heat lamp over one end, not the center, to help form the gradient.
Why did the dragon sit under the lamp? It wanted to be a little brighter.
