SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/scout-hands-only-cpr
If you're not trained in full CPR and an adult collapses, what can you do after calling 911?
Hands-only CPR: push hard and fast, no rescue breaths.
- Rescue breaths only
- Wait for someone trained
- Hands-only CPR, no rescue breaths ✔
Why: The Red Cross says hands-only CPR is CPR without rescue breaths, for people not trained in full CPR. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives.
Huh, didn't know that: The Red Cross says to lock your elbows to keep your arms straight.
Why did the heart join the band? It had the best beat.
