A bee leaves its stinger in your arm. How should you remove it?

Scrape it out with a fingernail or wipe with gauze.

  1. Squeeze it out with tweezers
  2. Scrape it out with a fingernail ✔
  3. Leave it in for a day

Why: NIOSH says to wipe gauze or scrape a fingernail over the stinger, and never squeeze it or use tweezers. Then wash with soap and water and use ice for swelling.

Huh, didn't know that: Someone should stay with the stung person to watch for a severe allergic reaction.

The dad joke
What do you call a bee that's having a bad hair day? A frizz-bee.
