On a router table, which way should the workpiece be fed relative to the bit's rotation?
Against it, opposite to the bit rotation.
- Opposite the bit rotation ✔
- With the bit rotation
- It does not matter
Why: Woodcraft's router-table article says to always feed the workpiece in a direction opposite the bit rotation. Feeding with the rotation, a climb cut, is harder to control. Use a fence or pivot pin for support.
Huh, didn't know that: Woodcraft advises removing stock in small increments of 1/8 inch or less when routing freehand with a template.
What's the same size and shape as a giant sequoia tree, yet weighs nothing? A giant sequoia tree's shadow.
