SawStop says its brake stops the blade in less than how long?
Less than 5 milliseconds.
- 5 seconds
- 5 milliseconds ✔
- 5 minutes
Why: When skin touches the blade, an aluminum brake springs into the blade's path. SawStop says all of this happens in less than 5 milliseconds. That is far faster than a blink.
Huh, didn't know that: SawStop says the reset takes about 90 seconds: inspect the blade, change it if damaged, and replace the brake cartridge.
Why do Platanus occidentalis have to see the doctor more than any other trees? Because they are sycamore.
