An orange diamond with a cross inside, on a white marker, means what?

Boats keep out of the marked area.

  1. Danger ahead, go slow
  2. Information about nearby services
  3. Boats are excluded from the area ✔

Why: 33 CFR 62.33 says a diamond with a cross centered inside means vessels are excluded from the marked area. An open diamond without the cross just means danger.

Huh, didn't know that: If a regulatory marker is lit, its light is white.

The dad joke
Why did the lifeguard kick the elephants out of the pool? They kept dropping their trunks.
