A white marker with an orange open diamond shape means what?

Danger.

  1. Boats keep out
  2. Danger ✔
  3. Operating rules in effect

Why: 33 CFR 62.33 says on orange-and-white markers an open diamond signals danger. Black lettering in or around the shape may say what the danger is.

Huh, didn't know that: These orange-and-white markers are maintained by the states, not the Coast Guard.
