On Right Step, MARCH, how far does the right foot move each step?
12 inches to the right.
- 6 inches
- 12 inches ✔
- 24 inches
Why: In right step, the leg stays straight but not stiff and the right foot moves 12 inches to the right. The left foot then comes alongside without scraping the ground.
Huh, didn't know that: A normal forward step in quick time is 24 inches, twice as long.
Why did the cadet only move a foot? That's exactly what Right Step asked for.
