What does the command To the Rear, MARCH make a marching flight do?
Reverse direction with a 180-degree pivot to the right.
- Turn 90 degrees right
- Reverse direction by pivoting 180 degrees to the right ✔
- March backward
Why: Each cadet takes a half step, pivots 180 degrees to the right, takes another half step, then steps off with a full step. Arm swing pauses during the pivot.
Huh, didn't know that: About, FACE turns a cadet around at a halt; To the Rear does it while marching.
Why did the flight do To the Rear? They forgot their water bottles.
