SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/cdl-class-b-straight-truck
A single truck rated 26,001 lbs or more, towing nothing over 10,000 lbs, needs which CDL class?
Class B, the heavy straight vehicle class.
- Class A
- Class B ✔
- Class C
Why: Group B is any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 lbs or more. It may tow a trailer, but only one rated 10,000 lbs or less. Dump trucks and big box trucks are typical Class B vehicles.
Huh, didn't know that: City buses and many delivery trucks are Class B vehicles.
What do you get when you cross a truck with a cow? A moo-ving van.
