SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/chick-clean-water
How often should you change your chickens' drinking water?
Give fresh, clean water every day.
- Once a week
- Every day ✔
- Once a month
Why: Dirty water spreads germs and chickens drink less of it. Clean the waterers and refill with fresh water daily.
Huh, didn't know that: Set open waterers at about the height of the birds' backs so less bedding gets kicked in.
Why did the waterer get a cleaning? To pass the taste beak.
