Why is the Electoral College important?

It decides who is elected president.

  1. It picks Supreme Court justices
  2. It counts votes for Congress
  3. It decides who is elected president ✔

Why: The Electoral College chooses the President. It was a compromise between a popular vote and having Congress pick the President.

Huh, didn't know that: There are 538 electors, and a candidate needs 270 to win.

The dad joke
