SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/civics-rule-of-law
What is the rule of law?
No one is above the law, including leaders and government.
- The President can set aside any law
- Laws apply only to citizens
- No one is above the law ✔
Why: The rule of law means everyone must follow the law. That includes leaders and the government itself. Nobody gets a free pass.
Huh, didn't know that: "Equal Justice Under Law" is carved above the entrance of the Supreme Court building.
What did the judge say when a skunk walked into the courtroom? Odor in the court!
