At least 3 feet away.
- At least 1 foot
- At least 2 feet
- At least 3 feet ✔
Why: A hot burner, pan handle or splash of oil can burn a child fast. Make a kid-free and pet-free zone around the stove while you cook.
Huh, didn't know that: The USFA also says to turn the burner off if you leave the kitchen.
