What happens to stall speed when load factor increases, like in a steep turn?

Stall speed increases, in proportion to the square root of the load factor.

  1. It decreases
  2. It increases ✔
  3. It stays exactly the same

Why: More load factor means the wing must work harder, so it reaches its stalling angle at a higher speed. That's why steep turns and sharp pull-ups can cause surprise stalls.

Huh, didn't know that: An aircraft that normally stalls at 50 knots can stall at 100 knots when pulling 4 Gs.

The dad joke
Why did the airplane stop talking in the steep turn? It needed a moment to collect its lift.
