SESK: Stuff Everyone Should Know · sesk.info/drone-show-certificate-on-request
Who can require a remote pilot to present their Remote Pilot Certificate?
The FAA, NTSB, TSA, or any law enforcement officer.
- Only an FAA inspector
- The FAA, NTSB, TSA or law enforcement ✔
- Any member of the public
Why: Section 107.7 says the remote pilot must keep the certificate and ID readily accessible. You must show them on request to the FAA, NTSB, TSA, or any federal, state or local law enforcement officer.
Huh, didn't know that: The FAA may also ask to inspect or test your drone to confirm you follow Part 107.
Why does the drone pilot carry his certificate everywhere? He likes to keep his credentials up in the air.
