What is the maximum PEP output for a Technician in their HF band segments?
200 watts PEP on the Technician HF segments.
- 200 watts ✔
- 100 watts
- 50 watts
Why: FCC rules cap Technicians at 200 watts peak envelope power on their HF segments. Hams should always use the minimum power needed anyway.
Huh, didn't know that: The 200 watt limit covers the Technician segments on 80, 40, 15 and 10 meters.
Why was the radio so calm? It had its power under control.
