How do kids under 13 play?
Kids under 13 play with a parent's OK. The kid types a parent's email at /join/, the parent gets one email with a code, and at /parent/ the parent adds the kid's birthday and gets a 6-digit PIN for them. SESK never emails kids.
Kids under 13 play SESK with a parent's OK.
- On /join/, the kid taps Ask a parent to set you up and types a parent's email.
- The parent gets one email with a 6-digit code. Nothing about the kid is kept yet.
- The parent goes to /parent/, types their email and the code (a parent can also start at /parent/ and ask for a code there).
- The parent adds the kid's birthday, and if they like, the kid's own email as a sign-in name, then says OK.
- The parent gets the kid's 6-digit PIN.
- The kid signs in at /join/ with Sign in with your PIN: their email (or the parent's) plus the PIN.
What we promise for kids:
- We never email kids and never send them news or ads. Their email is only a sign-in name.
- Kids play under a generated fun name and a cartoon avatar. Their birthday is never shown.
- There are no comments or messages between players.
- About a day after setup, the parent gets a confirmation email with a link to remove the kid's account.
